1. WAS YOUR FIRST PREGNANCY PLANNED?

Yup. Hubby said, kalau boleh secepat mungkin but I don’t want. At least wait for 3 or 4 months.. Coz saya segan kalau bunting pelamin.. I’ve seen my friends made fun of my other friend by calling the husband, sharp shooter.. Lg pun, kalau tiba2 baby premature, nanti tak cukup 9 bulan kawen, dah ade anak.. Hehehhe.. Jauh betul saya pikir masa tu kan ??

Pastu dah mula cuak bila dah lebih 4 bulan kawin tak pregnant2 jugak. Padahal baru 2nd try.. Takut jugak jadik cam couples yang mula2 nak plan pastu lambat baru dpt.. It happened to my colleague, konon2 nak tunggu setahun, pastu lepas 3 tahun baru ada rezeki..

2. WHAT WAS YOUR SECOND CHOICE NAME FOR YOUR OPPOSITE GENDER NAME?
Wan Puteri Rania Adriana. On hubby’s side, all the girls have “Puteri” and the boys have “Tuan” as their first name. And because my family name is Wan, so add Wan la for our daughter.. Son tak payah la.. Kang jadi Wan Tuan Rayyan Ariff plak kang.. Hahhaha..

We can disclose this name coz we're not keeping it for our daughter.. Dah ada nama baru.. =)

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS?
Happy, speechless and don’t know what to do. Tak percaya pun ada. A part of me keep on asking the question whether I can carry the responsibilities well or not. Another part, takut the baby steal all the spotlight and hubby will love me less and love the baby more.. Sangat tak matang!

4. HOW OLD WERE YOU?
25 years old and 1 month

5. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT?
Every month, hubby mesti frust kalau tau saya period. Bila dah macam tu, kita nyer pressure tu lebih la kan.. Rasa tertekan gak la.. 1st month of trying, buat UPT, -ve. 2nd month pun sama. 3rd month, saya dok berangan, kalau bulan ni conceive, nanti due date sama ngan birthday hubby. Bestnya la haii..
.
So saya buat UPT walaupun baru lewat sehari.. Excited la konon. Pastu resultnya –ve. And then, ada blood stain so saya ingat period. Frust sangat. Tapi pelik jugak coz first day tapi tak heavy and 2nd day dah xde langsung. So diam2, saya beli pregnancy test kit lagi. Tak bgtau hubby coz kalau –ve, sure dia frust. Malam tu lepas maghrib, saya buat, Kuar dua line.. +ve! Terus jerit panggil hubby. Punyalah berdebar-debar hati nih..

6. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST?
Hubby la.. Terus dia sengih2 memanjang.. And we can’t wait to get confirmation from the doctor.. Lambatnya tunggu hari siang.. Esoknya, bila Dr. dah confirmkan, baru call my mom and my MIL bgtau.. And of course, adik beradikku.. Nak bgtau awal2 tak brani because of the blood stain earlier. :P

7. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX?
Of course kitorg betul2 eager nak tahu. Especially hubby yang dok berangan nak bawak baby tgk bola.. :P

8. DUE DATE?
12 July 2008 (Sama ngan birthday hubby)

9. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?
Morning, afternoon, evening and night sickness sampai 4 months and a half. Masak memang tak boleh. The first 3 months, asyik dok makan western food.. Pastu tuka makanan kampong plak.. Flat plak tu.. asyik nak tido jer coz letih..

10. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?
Roti canai, sundae chocolate, pretzel, pisang and manggis. Yang pretzel and sundae tu pelik gak la, coz taknak yang hubby beli.. Nak yang my friend, Ellany beli.. Baru ummphh! Hehhehe.. Pastu nak makan nasi kenduri kawen (dapat makan masa kenduri my friend, Eirna Yani..)

P/s – one more thing, nak cium pusat hubby. Dia tak bagi ok!!! Sampai hati betul. Ingat kita sengaja ke. Cuba bagi sekarang, takdenya makcik hingin!

11. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?
Sebarang benda yang melekat kat tubuh i.e. tudung yang lilit2 tu (leh pki selendang jer), round neck t-shirt and dapur rumah saya. Kalau nak makan, kena makan kat luar atau pun kat living room jer.. Hehhehehe..
.
Pernah sekali, saya takleh pki baju so saya berkemban la.. Skali kawan baik saya datang, saya teus bukak pintu. Berkemban dengan batik, and bahagian atas, covered with towel. Terperanjat dia, "You!! You buat apa???".. "Takde la.. Laki I takde pun.. I takleh pakai baju.." Jawab saya sambil berlalu masuk.. :P

12. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CHILD'S SEX?
Boy.
.

I was on my 19th weeks and we went to the nearest clinic because the night before, perut mengeras and kuar benjol cam kepala baby gituh. Harus la cuak. Esok terus gi scan. :P
.

But Dr. said everything is fine. The baby was just being overly active. (Ian has always been that way. Siap bleh nampak perut mama gerak2 because of the movement that he made. This was the time that Dr. said it could be a boy. But she could not confirm it as the baby was not cooperative enough. Tak stay put langsung.
.

Hubby? He had a very big smile on his face. Sampai ke telinga! Bila keluar je bilik Dr. sengih-sengih, “Haaa.. Kan abg dah kata, baby boy.. Sbb tu la active.. Ni mesti terror main bola ni pasni.. Abg nak beli jersey Liverpool la kat Rayyan nanti..”

13. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX ?
Nope. Mmg nak boy sgt.. Mommy saya pun sama. Nak sangat baby boy utk firstborn. Mindset la nih konon.. Kalau boleh nak 3 anak, 2 boys and 1 girl. Tapi kalau another 2 tu dua2 girl pn ok jugak.. Bleh bg pakai baju sama biar nampak cam kembar.. :P
.

14. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY?
13kg. Not that bad kan ? But wait, it is bad. I was pregnant for only 31 weeks. Kalau cukup 40 weeks, mau besar tempayan.. :P

15. DID YOU HAVE A BABY SHOWER?
Takde. Tak pernah terfikir pun.

A friend of mine, being asked by another friend, “Are you going to Reen’s baby shower?”. Then she replied, “Eh, Reen dah gave birth ke? I thought it’s some where next month?”
.
Then the friend who posted the question replied, “Belum lagi, nape tanya??” Then she asked again, “Kalau belom deliver, how to shower the baby??” Kitorang??? Gelak je la..
.
17. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?
Tell me bout it?? Hehehhe..
.

It’s not something new here kan ?? Except for the craving, doing weird things and the morning sickness, mother was doing great. But during the check up on 22nd weeks, Dr. found some abnormalities on the baby. And the sad story begun.. Tests were done. Options were given. Bad news were everywhere..
.

But looking at where we are now, I should be thankful that we’re blessed with so many things kan ?? Alhamdulillah..
.
18. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Pantai Medical Centre, Bangsar

19. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?
I guess about one hour or less. I was pushed in as early as 8.00am and by 8.12am, Ian was already out. I was given epidural and throughout the procedure, I was wide awake. I still remember that the nurses and the doctor were talking about “nurse day” and they included me in the discussion. And we joked about it together.

My gyne, as always, told me that I was among the strongest mommy that he had ever met. From the day that I took the bad news, till the day I went for the delivery, I was so calm.. Ada ke? Takkan la nak nangis meraung cam budak tak dapat ais krim!
.

Honestly, sedih, kecewa, semua ada.. But I tried to stay as calm as possible because I want to be strong for Rayyan. Susah memang susah. Tambah2 masa tu dengan hormon org pregnant, camne kan? Sendiri mau ingat la..
.
Tapi Alhamdulillah, tuhan permudahkan jalan. Takde rasa sakit. Walaupun org kata c-section ni sakit. Petang dah leh bangun and pg esok dah turun tgk Rayyan.. (When I first saw him, he looks just fine.. After the first operation, he looked likes an alien.. But a cute one.. My cute little alien.. ohh.. susah nak describe how much I miss my lil-rayyan yang sudah besar skrg!)

20. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?
My hubby. The nite before the delivery. Checked in. Kuar gi dinner kat Kg Baru. Singgah beli barang kat TMC Bangsar. Balik hospital. Start puasa kul 12am.. Heheheh.. Cam check in kat hotel.. :P

Masa otw tu, sinar.fm main lagu Aishah, Syurga di telapak kaki ibu.. (Masa tu kan, mothers' day).. Sedih woo.. Syahdu.. Bergenang air mata.. Lap*Lap*Lap* takut hubby nampak.. Sedih sbb dah nak deliver (Kan Dr. kata "the baby might be born alive but most probably he wont survive..)

21. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Hubby and the medic team. My anesthesiology, Dr. Das is quite good and well-experienced you know.. Tak sakit pun masa dia inject kat tulang blakang. Masa inject utk knee operation dulu, sakit gile!

22. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?
Elective C-section.
If you were to ask me about labour pain, I’m sorry, I can’t help you with that. Saya tak tahu.. (this is one of the reason saya berdebar nak get pregnant lagi, rasa cam pengalaman pertama pulak..) :P

23. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?

Of course la.. Nak mampus kalau potong hidup??

24. HOW MUCH DID YOUR CHILD WEIGH?
1.815kg.. Then after the operations, dropped to 1.59kg.. as expected.

25. WHEN WAS YOUR CHILD ACTUALLY BORN?
12 May 2008. It was on monday. Mmg kitorg pilih.. 2 months earlier than the EDD. Kata premature..
.
26. WHAT DID YOU NAME HIM/HER?
Tuan Rayyan Ariff Bin Tuan Alimin.. A name that I’ve kept for years..

Masa budak2, tgh2 gila kat KRU and A To Z, siap plan nak bg anak nama Ahmad Jeffry Azlan and Mohd Norman Yusry.. (Suka suki jer gabung nama orang.. hhehehe..)

Masa naik sekolah menengah nak nama Andrew Harris. Hahhaha.. Bongok sungguh. Itu la, banyak sangat tgk citer omputih.. :P

9 months and 1 week

28. WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN?
Definitely. Tak sabar rasanya. Tapi focus kat Ian la dulu la. ..
